Halfway The Year of Squares Blanket

The sixth square of the blanket is now live and with this month’s square we are halfway with crocheting the squares. Each month we make one square and at the end of the year we have 12 squares that we will crochet together. With these 12 different squares you will have crocheted a beautiful blanket with lots of different crochet stitches. The Yarn

This month I will also be crocheting with Scheepjes Chunky Monkey, a beautiful soft acrylic yarn. I’m making the whole blanket in the color Mid Grey, which makes the different stitches look beautiful. You can also choose to crochet each square in a different color and use a different color for the border. This will also give a really colorful effect!

The June Square

The square for this month is inspired by the granny stripe stitch, but we are going to crochet this square slightly different. The original granny stripe stitch (compared to the other squares) is too open for the blanket. I therefore decided to crochet a square with a similar style. A good addition to the squares of the previous months!

Am I too late to join?

Definitely not! Each month we make one square. On July 1st, a new crochet pattern will be published. The good news is that you can join in at your own pace! The squares don’t have to be ready until the end of the year. On December 31st, the crochet pattern of the border will be published.
